Biography
Michelle practices in our Family Law group and is a member of both the Manitoba and Alberta Bars. Prior to being admitted to the Alberta Bar in April 2000, Michelle practiced in Winnipeg primarily in family law before joining Vogel LLP in November of 1999. Michelle’s practice focuses on family law, including the resolution of issues that arise on the breakdown of a marriage or common law relationship. She is a skilled negotiator and has favourably resolved numerous cases involving parenting arrangements, child and spousal support and the division of property.
Michelle also drafts and provides advice with respect to Prenuptial and Cohabitation Agreements. These agreements can help clients avoid potential litigation in the event of a breakup.
Michelle has successfully appeared in all levels of the Alberta Courts on contested matters. She works with clients to identify and explore the best dispute resolution process, whether it is litigation or a form of alternative dispute resolution.
