Biography
Anthea is a partner at Vogel LLP and leads the firm’s Estates practice group. Her practice is dedicated to estate and trust administration, estate litigation, and estate planning. She advises executors, administrators, trustees, and beneficiaries, assists with probate and estate administration, and supports families navigating issues of capacity and incapacity.
Anthea draws on her in-house experience in the wealth management division of a major trust company to craft tailored and effective estate plans. She is well-versed in the preparation of complex Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Personal Directives, and regularly advises high-net-worth individuals and blended families.
Anthea also serves as a Practice Assessor with the Law Society of Alberta’s Practice Management Department, where she evaluates and advises lawyers whose practices are under scrutiny to support improved outcomes and professional standards. This work reflects her commitment to excellence and integrity in the legal profession.
She holds degrees in English Literature/Philosophy and Law from the University of British Columbia. Her writing has been featured in The Barrister, a publication of the Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association, and she is a sought-after speaker on wills and estates matters for financial institutions, investment firms, charitable organizations, and universities.
Known for her practical approach and compassionate counsel, Anthea helps her clients navigate the sensitive and often emotional issues that arise in estate law.
